Robert Rees . org

Welcome to the site.  I am Robert Rees, Sr.  I have had this site for some time now, and it has looked different depending on where I was, and what I was doing.  I originally purchased this domain to find my son, Robert Rees Jr.  When I was in Iraq, it functioned as a daily blog to let people know how I was doing and to keep in touch with family.   So now, the website will transform into something else entirely.

As of late, I have been more and more disenchanted with our politicians and the legislation that has come out of not only Washington D.C., but from state and local political bodies as well.  This site will serve as my sounding board to voice my opinion and it will also allow you to make your opinion known as well.

A little background on me:  I grew up in Northwest, Indiana.  I am a veteran of the United States Army.  During nearly 17 years of service, I was blessed to have had the opportunity to serve at some pretty major postings, and positions of increased responsibility and was ultimately accepted as a Warrant Officer Candidate after 7 1/2 years of being an Infantryman.  I ended my service in the Army after 8 years of being a UH-60 Blackhawk Pilot, and hold that time dear.

I was sent to combat in Iraq three times during my service, all of them with the 101st Airborne Division.  I am now back in Northwest Indiana, and still serving.  Currently I am a patrol officer and evidence technician for a local police department.  So as you can probably guess, I tend to lean toward the conservative side of most arguments.  Not all of my opinions are on the right however.

In my Blog, I will discuss issues important to me, our nation, and stories of interest.  I will keep the conversations and my personal thoughts clean, suitable for all viewers, and only request that anyone posting to this site do the same.  I am an advocate of one's First Amendment right to free speech, so I will try my hardest not to censor any posts.  If your thoughts are void of profanity and stay on point, you are welcome here.  If not, I will be the one that edits or deletes your comments.

So please stay a while, and enjoy the site as it grows.  I know that there are a lot of people out there who voice their opinions on the web, so what makes mine so special??  Nothing really.. I am just a guy who wants to be heard, if only by the few folks who will occasionally browse these pages.

It has been some time since I have done so, but as you can tell, I design web sites.  I am a fan of simple sites, without all of the glitz and glam that chug a users bandwidth and make you wait forever to get to the content you really want.  So if you are in the market, you may contact me and discuss your vision for a web presence.

Respectfully,

Robert Rees, Sr.
